Women Group Pays Solidarity Visit To Suspended Rivers Deputy Governor

Members of the Rivers Women Unite for SIM paid a solidarity visit to Ngozi Odu, the suspended Deputy Governor of Rivers State.
Speaking during the visit on Wednesday at Odu’s residence in Port Harcourt, the group led by Sotonye Fulton commended the deputy governor for her “humility and motherly leadership”.
They also thanked Odu for her unwavering support for Siminalayi Fubara, suspended governor of the state, and prayed for continued strength, wisdom, and divine protection.
Fubara and Odu are serving a six-month suspension following the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers.
President Bola Tinubu appointed Ibok-Ete Ibas as the sole administrator for the state.
Odu expressed happiness over the visit and encouraged the group to continue standing in the gap for peace, unity, and progress.
She reaffirmed her commitment to advancing the welfare of women and supporting platforms that promote faith, family, and development.
Odu also promised to support the group with her presence whenever needed.
The visit featured prayers, songs of thanksgiving, and words of encouragement.
