Ex-BBNaija housemate, Alex, has reacted to the arrest of some homeless persons during a raid by the Lagos State government.
Taking to her Instastories, she expressed confusion and concern over the policy, asking:
“Can someone please educate me on why Lagos State is arresting homeless people?”
The former BBNaija housemate didn’t hold back, sharing how the news had already ruined her day:
“What is the crime? Not having a house?”
She pointed out the irony of arresting people for simply having nowhere to stay, while others with homes still contribute to environmental mess by littering public spaces.
“Even people with houses litter the environment. I see people throwing stuff from cars.”
She ended with a stark question:
“Why are homeless people sleeping in corners being arrested?”
Her post has since sparked discussions online, with many Nigerians echoing her sentiments and questioning the human cost of such enforcement policies.
