Popular activist, Omoyele Sowore has reacted after the Kenyan government ruled that the transfer of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu to the Nigerian government in 2021 was illegal.

The decision was given by the High Court of Kenya declaring Kanu’s rendition as illegal.

Reacting, Sowore said the transfer was an “unjust and criminal act of brigandage” by the past and present administration.

Recall that the Kenyan court had recently declared the rendition unlawful and illegal.

The court also awarded compensatory damages of 10 million Kenyan shillings (₦119.6 million) against the Kenyan government for gross violations of Mazi Kanu’s fundamental human rights.

Reacting, Sowore blamed the alleged infractions on the former President, Muhammadu Buhari, and his successor, President Bola Tinubu.

In a post on his official Facebook page, the activist wrote, “An unjust and criminal act of brigandage by the Muhammadu Buhari regime but continued by the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu regime.”
