Three Feared De@d As Bandits Attack Travellers On Damari-Dandume Road In Katsina

No fewer than three people were feared de@d and two others injured following an attack by suspected bandits on travellers along the Damari-Dandume road in Katsina State on Friday evening.

According to a post by security analyst, Bakatsine, on X on Saturday, the assailants blocked the road and opened fire on unsuspecting commuters.



“Yesterday evening, armed bandits blocked Damari-Dandume road and started shooting sporadically. Unfortunately, three people lost their lives and two others sustained injuries,” Bakatsine wrote.

According to Bakatsine, the victims’ bodies were reportedly taken to the Damari Primary Health Care Centre, where they are currently at the facility’s mortuary.

The injured were also taken to nearby health facilities for treatment.

As of the time of filing this report, authorities have yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
