Umar Auwal, a suspected serial k!ller, has surrendered himself to the police in Kano State.

The PPRO said the suspect confessed his involvements in different cases of m8rder, armed robbery, motorcycle and phone snatching in different parts of the state.

 

According to the PPRO, the suspect demanded to be locked up.

 

“The Kano State Police Command announces the surrender of a 20-year-old Umar Auwal, ‘m’ alias ‘Abba Dujal’, a resident of Wudil Local Government Area, Kano State, who confessed of his involvement in multiple violent crimes in the State and its environs,” the statement read.

 

“This development follows sustained clearance raid operations conducted by the Command at strategic locations in the State to rid it of criminal elements and ensure protection of life and property of citizens.”

Read details of his Confessions: Umar Auwal has confessed his involvements in different cases of Culpable Homicide, Armed Robbery, Motorcycle and Phone Snatching in different parts of the State and Jigawa State, with the following details:

     

i. At Sabon Gari Quarters, Kano – He confessed to have stabbed one ‘Boka’ to d3ath and stole his Infinix Hot 40i mobile phone, which he sold for N40,000.

ii. At Kurna Quarters, Kano – Umar also confessed to stabbing another person to d3ath and stealing his Samsung S26 phone, which he sold for N160,000.

iii. In Jigawa State – He confessed to k!lling a man in Ringim LGA, Jigawa State, and stealing his motorcycle, which he sold for N300,000.

     

The suspect is currently in custody at the Command’s Homicide Section, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for detailed investigation into the veracity of his confessions and further necessary actions.

     

Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, appreciates Umar’s decision to surrender and urges others involved in similar crimes to follow suit. The Command remains committed to ensuring the safety of lives and property of all inhabitants in Kano State.

     

He further reiterates that criminals will have no hiding place in the State. They should therefore, repent and surrender, as no stone will be left unturned in curtailing criminal activities in the State.
