A Nigerian man on the social media platform, X (formerly known as Twitter) has taken to the app, to lament after popular Nigerian gospel singer, Nathaniel Bassey, blocked him.

Apparently, he had an unpleasant interaction with the gospel artist who felt the need to block him.

Displeased by Bassey’s decision to block him, @Afamdeluxo wondered if it was Christlike for the gospel artiste to do so. He asked if Jesus, while he was on earth, would have been blocking people with divergent opinions.

‘’Nathaniel Bassey blocked me, tell me, is that Christ-like? If Jesus had social media in his time, would he be blocking people for having differing opinions?

“This right here is why I keep saying Nigerian Christianity needs a serious audit. We’ve lost the essence.”

Some Nigerians, however, disagreed with him as they argued that the gospel artiste has the right to block whosoever he wishes to block.
