Nigerian Actor, Bishop Umoh Reacts To Young Nigerian Men Marrying Older Women From Abroad In Hilarious Video

Bishop Umoh, the popular Nigerian comic actor popularly known as Okon Lagos, has shared his take on the growing trend of young Nigerian men marrying much older women from the diaspora—delivering his opinion with his trademark humor and sharp sarcasm.
In a new video that’s now making rounds online, the veteran actor jokingly “prophesied” long life and good health for all the older women being flown into Nigeria for marriage by young men chasing passports and prosperity.
“You see all this trend… these are our young young boys, I understand economy no good. But to go and bring ancestress to Ikoyi Registry?” he said, with his signature dramatic tone.
Bishop Umoh didn’t stop there. He hilariously “blessed” the older women, declaring that they will not die, and will instead live long enough to declare the works of the Lord, not in their own generation, but in their young husbands’ generation.
“If I be a man of God… those women you bring, may long life and prosperity follow them. Nothing will happen to them o! If anybody must go, well… your guess is as good as mine,” he added.
The comic star’s video is a clear jab at what many believe is an open secret that some of these young men are marrying for papers, not passion, hoping the older spouse will pass away soon and leave them with residency and inheritance.
But Bishop Umoh isn’t having it. According to him, the plan won’t work.
“You think after 1 or 2 years, then goodbye? Nothing will happen to them. They will stay. They will live. They will live to frustrate your plans. Na you go tire,” he teased.
Nigerians online are cracking up at the video, with many hailing Bishop for his “prophetic comedy”
