Kidnappers Machete Victim During Rescue Operation In Suleja Near Abuja

Samuel John, a 45-year-old kidnap victim, was seriously injured with machetes by suspected kidnappers during a rescue operation in the Polosa area of Suleja, Niger State.
The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Friday, was revealed in a post by security analyst, Zagazola Makama on Saturday on X.
According to the report, the kidnappers attacked Samuel John’s residence and whisked him away before dawn.
A member of the local vigilante group noticed the attack and quickly raised the alarm, prompting a swift response from police officers attached to the ‘B’ Division in Suleja and community vigilantes.
“The joint security team pursued the kidnappers into a nearby bush. On seeing the security personnel closing in, the suspects reportedly turned on their captive, attacking him with machetes. They inflicted deep cuts on his head and hands before abandoning him and escaping,” Makama wrote.
The victim was rescued and rushed to the General Hospital in Suleja, where he is currently receiving medical treatment.
