Keep Watching Over Us – Late Jnr Pope’s Wife Pays Tribute On His 45th Posthumous Birthday (Video)

Jennifer Awele, the widow of late Nollywood actor, Junior Pope, has taken to Instagram to celebrate him on what would have been his 45th birthday on May 7, 2025.

Recall that Junior Pope died in a boat accident on the River Niger in Anambra State while traveling to Asaba, Nigeria, to shoot a movie. Three crew members also lost their lives in the incident.

To celebrate his posthumous birthday, Jennifer shared an emotional video filled with touching memories of her late husband spending joyful moments with their children. The montage captured the love and bond they once shared as a family.

In her caption, she reflected on a sweet moment from the early days of their relationship.

Now left to mark the day without him, Jennifer expressed the pain of his absence.

She added that though words failed her, their love remains ever-present:
