Hairstylist Missing Since April, Found Dead at 34

Jax Gratton has been found dead.
The 34-year-old hairstylist had been missing in Denver since April.
She was found dead, according to a heartbreaking announcement by her mother.
In an emotional Facebook post, Cherilynne Gratton-Camis confirmed the devastating news: “With a broken heart, I share the news that our beloved Jax Gratton has been found — and she is no longer with us. The light she carried, the love she gave so freely, and the joy she brought into our lives have been taken from this world far too soon.”
Gratton-Camis expressed deep gratitude to the public for their support, saying, “Everyone who shared her story, her face, sent a prayer, or a kind thought — thank you. Everyone who hit the ground running and hasn’t stopped — we felt your love.”
She also honored Jax’s identity as a trans woman, sharing how her daughter had helped her understand the LGBTQIA+ community more deeply. “It’s not just about Jax — it’s about everyone in the LGBTQIA+ community who faces the world with courage, simply wanting to live, love, and exist safely. That should never be a fight — and yet, it still is.”
“Jax Gratton was a light — unapologetically, fiercely, fully herself. I see her in every act of love and strength you’ve shown.”
Jax was last seen on April 15 around 10 p.m. when she left her Denver apartment, telling her roommate she’d be out for about three hours. She never returned.
Lakewood Police have confirmed that a body was discovered on Friday, though further details have not been released.
Jax’s mother previously voiced concern about her daughter’s safety, telling media outlets she feared foul play, especially given Jax’s history of abusive relationships.
