The acting National Chairman of the APC, Ali Bukar Dalori has resumed work.

After he resumed on Monday, the photo of former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, depicting him as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was taken down.

Information gathered revealed that the picture was taken down by some aides of Dalori.

The mild drama occurred shortly after Dalori arrived at the APC National Secretariat for the first time since his recent emergence as the Acting National Chairman of the party.

It would be recalled that Ganduje, on Friday, 27th June, tendered his resignation as leader of the ruling party just months before the APC National Convention scheduled for December.

The APC also confirmed the resignation of its National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, who stepped down from the position to focus on personal and health-related matters.

In a statement issued Friday night, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the resignation took effect immediately.

Following Ganduje’s departure, the party announced that the Deputy National Chairman (North), Ali Bukar Dalori, would assume the role of Acting National Chairman pending the next National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for December 2025.

Morka said the appointment is in line with constitutional provisions to ensure continuity in party leadership and operations.

The APC hailed Ganduje’s leadership and his role in stabilising and repositioning the party during his brief tenure as chairman.

“Throughout his tenure, he dedicated himself to strengthening the party’s unity and cohesion, expounding its democratic ideals, and enhancing the party’s electoral competitiveness,” the statement read.
