Bandits Capture, Take Control of Kankara LGA in Katsina

Armed bandits have taken over Kankara LGA of Katsina state.

Information gathered revealed that the group was led by kingpin Babaro.

Security analyst, Bakatsine revealed in a post on his X handle that the bandits have already killed several people and banned farming activities in the area.

“BREAKING: Bandits led by feared warlord, Babaro seize control of Kankara LGA, Katsina State. Farming banned from Marabar Kankara to Yantumaki, dozens killed/kidnapped, healthcare collapsed.

Residents beg Gov Dikko Radda & FG for urgent intervention,” he wrote.

Kankara has long been a hot-bed of terrorists attack and kidnapping activities in Katsina state.

Authorities are yet to comment on the situation as at the time of filing this report.
