Angry Youths Destroy President Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Billboard In Kano State (Video)

A viral video has surfaced showing dozens of enraged youths in Kano State tearing down and vandalizing a large 2027 campaign billboard featuring the image of President Bola Tinubu and other prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders.
The incident, which reportedly occurred on a major street in the ancient city, shows visibly angry young men, mostly in their 20s, tearing down the structure with sticks and bare hands, as others cheered and filmed with mobile phones.
The billboard had the conspicuous image of President Tinubu, alongside APC leaders in Kano, with the inscription: “Fatan Alheri 2027”, a Hausa phrase which loosely translates to “Best Wishes for 2027.”
This signalled early campaign posturing for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
The video, which has gone viral on Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), surfaced barely 24 hours after Tinubu’s visit to Benue State, where he paid a condolence visit over the recent massacre of residents by gunmen suspected to be herders.
The president is currently in Kaduna State at the invitation of Governor Uba Sani, where he is expected to participate in state events and meet political stakeholders.
The Kano incident is the latest in a growing wave of public anger and frustration over insecurity, rising cost of living, and what many young Nigerians describe as failed promises by the ruling APC government.
