A statement from the command today, June 1, says the operatives, while on diligent investigations, trailed two of the suspects, Monday Egbe, 32, and Kenneth Nnoga, 28, to their criminal hideout in a neighbouring State.

Operatives of the Anambra State Police Command have arrested two suspects in connection with the kidnapping and m#rder of a female bank manager in Onitsha, despite collecting a ransom of ₦14 million.

A statement from the command today, June 1, says the operatives, while on diligent investigations, trailed two of the suspects, Monday Egbe, 32, and Kenneth Nnoga, 28, to their criminal hideout in a neighbouring State.

Recall that on January 13, 2025, the lifeless body of the victim, Ifeoma, was found along Nnobi Road with her eyes tied after the abductors had collected the ransom of N14m  from the deceased’s family.

The command says the suspects are currently undergoing interrogations for more insights into the modus operandi of the criminal gang and the possible arrest of other gang members.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, has assured that the Command shall continue to live up to its Mandate of protecting of lives and properties of Ndi Anambra and residents and to ensure that all cases are followed to a logical conclusion and justice served.
