How Police Arrested Three Suspected Drug Peddlers In Abuja, Recover Illicit Substances

Three suspected drug traffickers have been arrested in Abuja following coordinated police raids on notorious black spots across the city, resulting in the seizure of various illicit drugs.
According to police sources, the suspects — Ahmed Lawal, Joy Josiah, and Sule Nuhu — were apprehended on June 23 during operations at Limpopo Street in Dutse Alhaji and behind the MTN office in Maitama. The crackdown followed actionable intelligence on illegal drug activities.
Zagazola Makama reports that Police recovered items including large amounts of dried leaves believed to be Indian hemp, sachets of a drug called “Ghana Loud,” eight sachets of Arizona, and several tablets of a substance known locally as Moly.
The police confirmed that the operation is part of a more extensive initiative to tackle drug abuse and drug trafficking in the Federal Capital Territory.
All the suspects are in custody and are currently undergoing interrogation. The substances seized have been itemized for evidence. The investigations are still ongoing ahead of prosecution.
