Gunmen Ass@ssinate Former Benue PDP LG Chairman, Yayough Aondoakaa

Some unknown gunmen have ass@ssinated Hon. Yayough Aondoakaa, a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Tarka Local Government Area of Benue State.

The k!lling, which occurred on Friday at Wannune Market, has thrown the community into fear and confusion.

Eyewitnesses said the assailants, who rode into the market on motorbikes, asked about Aondoakaa’s whereabouts before shooting him dead at close range.

Residents revealed that this was not the first attempt on his life.

During an earlier attack last year, his wife was tragically assassinated in what appeared to be a failed attempt to eliminate him.

Authorities are yet to release an official statement as investigations begin.
