Nigerian National Arrested With Drugs Worth Over N214m In India

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru, India, has apprehended a Nigerian national during a raid operation for allegedly engaging in drug peddling.
The accused, identified as Chukwuma, was caught by the police during an attempt to distribute narcotics within the Avalahalli area of northern Bengaluru.
The Narcotics Wing of the CCB conducted a quick, coordinated operation, seizing MDMA and crystal substances valued at over Rs 1.2 crore.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Chukwuma has been involved in the drug trade since 2013.
Authorities believe he imported narcotics from abroad for distribution throughout Bengaluru, particularly targeting the city’s outskirts.
His activities are reportedly connected to an international drug syndicate.
Officials stated that Chukwuma had been under close surveillance for several weeks prior to the arrest.
Authorities are now intensifying their investigation to uncover the full extent of the drug network and identify other individuals associated with the accused.
The accused remains in custody, with further interrogations underway to support the ongoing investigation.
